Obviously the 6D doesnât have the whiz-bang 61 point autofocus system of the Mark III, which features 41 cross-type points. Instead, it has 11 points, with only one cross-type.
1. Mount the camera. If you can, put the camera on a tripod and point it toward a bright scene with sharp straight edges and a fair amount of contrastâsomething that the camera should focus on easily. 2. Focus the camera. If it is an autofocus camera, activate the autofocus.
The camera wont focus in av,tv,B or m mode but will focus in automatic mode and C1,C2, and C3. Ive tried pulling the battery, removing the memory card, restoring user defaults, changing AF points. Tried 2 different lenses, same thing. I haven't dropped it, only thing different was i charged the battery yesterday.
